What I would imagine the soundtrack behind Renaissance paintings of Hell and Demonology to sound like. Sacrifices neither it's Doomic or more Transcendent qualities, excellent stuff! Side note: it would be a blast to play rhythm guitar in this band.

"The music on the EP An Ear Of Grain In Silence Reaped brings to mind the latest album of Wolvennest, or this year’s The Nest debut. It is hazy and foreboding, swimming in ritualistic ambience, oriental rhythms, choir-like vocals, and dramatic drums. It feels at the same time subdued and triumphant, dense and ethereal, and has a brooding and grandiose progression."

"Something that I think has a very wide appeal and can be both a uplifting and triumphant, but at the same time still hold a dark and haunting angst that makes it feel whole. Highly recommend giving this a listen."

“It is hazy and foreboding, swimming in ritualistic ambience, oriental rhythms, choir-like vocals, and dramatic drums. It feels at the same time subdued and triumphant, dense and ethereal, and has a brooding and grandiose progression. Diving into post-metal, doom, stoner, and shoegaze, Telesterion’s debut EP makes for an unconventional listen, with a vast musical scope and a primitive appeal.”

"notes in spurts of hail relayed by a luxuriant orchestration, the principles are acquired, the triumph of the soul is assured, the choirs sing the deliverance from anguish, an incoercible joy chases away useless fears, the music by its sparkling beauty tempts to translate the comfort of mind that initiation provides, nothing has changed, but the individual has assimilated the cycle of life and death. Clarity and appeasement take over, the music drops and disappears, it is no longer needed. It was only a step towards the fullness of greater transparency. An ear of grain in silence reaped, we will translate an ear of wheat in the silence of the harvest."

"An Ear of Grain in Silence Reaped” captures something unique with their music, catching a sonic horror and ritualistic atmosphere without insane speed –experimentation of music with incredible songwriting and the composing of each piece is both compelling and astonishing, production and sound quality are both top-notch."

“An Ear of Grain in Silence Reaped captures sonic terror without insane speed and their musical ambition captures the traditional and the new elements of Post to create an introduction to an act that unafraid of experimentation without forsaking the pursuit of utter mindboggling heaviness.” 8.5/10

“I don't know who and where the Telesterion are from, but their post-metal / doom on the EP An Ear of Grain in Silence Reaped is VERY good. Everything is so ethereal, a bit shoemaking and yet heavy and with an atmosphere that is not abstractly sad but has "meat" and charm. Interesting songs, good singing (which can hardly be heard), a production that I would never make for myself but which does a job with this music - all in all very, very good.”

Overall, this is a very solid release and the execution of the band’s vision I think will really hook listeners who enjoy dynamic sounding music that blends heaviness and melodic atmospheric elements together. I believe that, “An Ear of Grain in Silence Reaped,” is a great starting point for further exploration and it allows the band to determine how they wish to proceed on future releases.

US Progressive Doom / Post-Metal. This is oh so crushing at every stage. Should you happen to get to the end of the album, expect to be little more than a pancake! Fantastically textured music where all the melodies weave together to make a stunning whole! Thanks Thumos! Highly recommended!!! bmurator

Merci Déhà for the download code. Lots of bands use these ingredients – pretty female vocals over doomy guitars always sounds good, but usually that's where the ideas run out. That isn't the case here. Each song is packed with ideas and evolutions, genres and references it's boring to list but not at all to listen to. A pleasure to have been introduced to this. Luke
